It is peaceful, warm and comfortable.  We would love to come again

sometime.

Thank you, Rebecca, for all your kindness”

“Thank you so much for all the little extra touches – the toiletries,

tissues, the delicious fruit cake and marmalade – you made us

feel so welcome.

We have had a lovely, restful time.  Just what we needed.

We drove through Farndale one day – beautiful.

The highlight for us was Castle Howard and we would love to come

back again soon.

With many thanks”

“Had a lovely time, ‘midst beautiful country.  Thank you.

I shall never forget how it snowed the first day – but soon

dispersed and Spring had come!”

“Rebecca – Thank you so much for the use of your beautiful

cottage!

Everything in it has been lovingly and tastefully put together,

with no expense spared.

Easthorpe will be very highly recommended to anyone who asks me

for a cottage in Yorkshire.

All the family have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we all hope

to visit again later in the year.

Sincere best wishes for a very successful season”.

Very nice cottage, well refurbished and, most important, spotlessly clean!

Have had a lovely week.  Great location – loads to do.

Recommend Castle Howard and North York Moors Railway.

Thank you very much, Rebecca.

“Perfect country cottage.  A real home from home; everything

we could possibly want was here.  Plan to return!!!

We recommend the Wentworth Arms in Old Malton

for real home cooked food with a friendly service.

Thank you, Rebecca, for making everything so welcoming.

“We found the Lodge very well presented, cared for and kept to a

very good standard.

We can recommend the “Blacksmith Arms”. Very good food and

service,

and not far.  We would recommend a stay here to anyone

and we will be coming back for a visit.

We have spent a lovely few days here and been hither and thither

– thank you.

Castle Howard is quite the nicest Stately Home we have ever visited

The Lodge is very well equipped.

We appreciated all the touches and both town and peaceful location.

We have had a wonderful break in this beautiful cottage. Thankyou for all your help Rebecca in ensuring everything we may possibly need was here ( and more). Lots to do with the children - Animal Antics in Malton, The Sea Life Centre in Scarborough & where Dracula took his first bite in Whitby!!

We would definitely return.

Lovely cottage, very well equipped.  Had a lovely time.  We would recommend Flamingo Land (get there early).  The boys really enjoyed it.  Lots to do in York and, not far away, Eden Camp was good when the weather wasn’t good.

Florios on Yorkersgate, Malton, was really good for Italian food.

Thank you, Rebecca.

Wonderful cottage.  Best we’ve ever stayed in, and that’s quite a few over the last ten years.  Rebecca, you’ve thought of everything.  We got around a bit – Helmsley Steam Rally … very wet.  A walk to the Bridestones, Castle Howard, York, Flamborough Head, but when the sun came out we came back just to lounge in the lovely garden.  Couldn’t believe the amount of red poppies in the fields … beautiful.  Had a wonderful time.

Thanks for the welcome package, Rebecca.

Really the best cottage in the area!  We come each year to the Ryedale Festival.

and it has been a wonderful home from home.  Certainly consider it for repeat visit.  Had fantastic Sunday Lunch at the Black Swan in Oldstead (about 35 mins drive but worth it!)  You could also visit the ruins of Byland Abbey on the way – magical.

(Byland Arms also a good pub).  Scampston Walled Garden, a short way out of Malton towards Scarborough, is a dream with a super restaurant/café.

(You can go and eat without looking at the garden – worth it – but a pity as there is so much to learn in the garden).  “Moon and Sixpence” in Whitby by the water is excellent for lunch.  Rail/steam journey to Whitby from Pickering very much unadvertised – magical journey through valleys including via Goathland (Heartbeat) and Grosmont and onto Whitby.  A real treat if you don’t want to drive (£17.00 return).

Re-visit!  Another great weekend.  Perfect weekend retreat for us.

We are already looking forward to our next trip to Easthorpe Lodge.

Thanks for arranging the sunshine for us!

Lovely stay, very comfortable and very well equipped!

Only one complaint – holiday wasn’t long enough!!  Many thanks.

The week we have spent in this beautiful lodge was superb!!

Very comfortable; a real home from home!  Nice and bright

during the day and quiet and peaceful at night.  Can strongly

recommend the “Golden Lion” and “The Blacksmiths Arms” for food.

Will definitely be back next year!!!

Were delighted to find such a comfortable and well equipped cottage.

Thoroughly enjoyed the scenery and the wealth of attractions in the area.

Sorry to leave.  Many thanks.

We’ve had a fabulous if short stay in your lovely lodge and hope

to come back another time for longer.  The walk books provided

Were useful and we had a great walk up to the Bridestones in Dalby Forest

(great for kids as they can scramble over the rocks at the top), followed by a trip

on the railway from Levisham to Goathland.  Castle Howard was well worth it

and there is a now “high energy” adventure play park which kept our

two children entertained.

Amazingly for this summer, we’ve seen some sunshine and were able to enjoy

your beautiful garden in the evenings with a BBQ!

Thanks for the goodies on arrival.

I love the cottage.  It’s really nice.  We only stayed the weekend

but we enjoyed it.  My mum and dad had a barbecue both nights.  We sat outside

and listened to the owls at night.  It was fun.  We might come back at Easter.

I hope we will!

We booked the cottage last minute and couldn’t have asked for a better break.

The cottage is the best self catering accommodation we have every stayed in!

Wonderfully clean and well equipped, with a delightful garden.

Many thanks.  Will definitely be back again.

We were up in the area for our friend’s wedding and decided

to treat ourselves to a long weekend.

The cottage is so well equipped (just about the best we have come across)

and the folders answer every and any question we had!

Thank you for giving us a home from home.

PS – Wonderful fish ‘n’ Chips along Malton Road!

“We have really enjoyed our stay in your lovely cottage and have

felt very much at home.  In addition to providing a tastefully renovated cottage,

you have been extremely helpful in educating us about the area

in terms of places to see.  Thank you”.

We have had a lovely week in one of our favourite parts of the country.

The cottage is really well equipped and everything worked perfectly – even

the weather behaved itself and we hardly had any rain at all.

Thank you for all your help and for the provisions on our arrival.

We found some really good eating houses not too far away – the Blacksmiths

Arms in Swinton is excellent, and we renewed our previous acquaintance

with the White Swan in Ampleforth.

Thank you for all your help.

Like many of your previous guests, we were sorry to leave!
